At BuildStep ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe that your construction data is your business, not ours. Our business model is simple: we sell software, not data.

1. Data Collection and Storage

BuildStep is designed as a "CloudKit-First" application. This means:

• We do not run our own servers. We do not have a database of your houses, clients, or schedules.
• Your Data lives in your iCloud. All data you create in BuildStep is stored locally on your device and synchronized to your private iCloud container, managed by Apple.
• We cannot see your data. Because your data is stored in your private iCloud container, we have no technical means to access, view, or sell your project details.

2. Account Information

We do not require you to create a separate account with us. You sign in using your Apple ID, which authenticates you directly with Apple's CloudKit servers. We do not receive or store your password.

3. Analytics

We may use anonymous, aggregated telemetry (via Apple's built-in App Analytics) to understand:

• Crash reports (to fix bugs).
• Aggregate usage metrics (e.g., "how many users viewed the Settings screen").

This data is not linked to your specific project data.
